FAVERO Assioma Duo Power Meter Pedals Review
Mid-summer I was umming and ahhhing about buying power meter pedals — specifically the FAVERO Assioma Duo. (Yes… of course they’re cheaper now. Sigh.)
I was riding most days for a solid month and seeing very little improvement in my usual routes. Weight loss stalled, times plateaued, motivation dipped.
The real first step turned out not to be pedals at all — it was buying a proper head unit. Until then, I was relying entirely on the Strava iPhone app, which is fine… but limited.
Step One: Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM
Once I bought the Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM, everything changed. Suddenly I could see speed, cadence, elevation, gradients — and later, power — all in real time.

I added Wahoo speed and cadence sensors and promptly disappeared down a very enjoyable data rabbit hole. My regular routes improved nicely — until wind or fatigue crept in and smashed my enthusiasm.
Why I Bought the FAVERO Assioma Duo
That’s when I committed to the FAVERO Assioma Duo power meter pedals. Dual-sided power, built-in cadence, no wheel magnets, and no crank compatibility headaches.
Because cadence is built in, I no longer needed a separate cadence sensor — one less device, one less battery.
More importantly, power completely changed how I ride:
- Windy days stopped ruining my motivation
- I could pace climbs properly instead of blowing up
- Training became repeatable and measurable
- Progress finally made sense
They’re genuinely fun in a nerdy, motivating way — and they’ve made a bigger difference than any single upgrade I’ve bought.
Dual-sided pedal-based power meter.
