When looking for a handlebar-mounted phone bracket, it's easy to get overwhelmed by long lists of “must-have” features. After narrowing things down, I settled on this Lamicall mount, which does everything I actually need — and does it well.
What I Like About This Mount
- Sturdy mount that can be positioned at almost any angle on the handlebars.
- Ball-joint design allows fine adjustment depending on riding position or sun glare.
- Secure grip without needing a bulky waterproof phone case.
- Rear latch clamps the phone firmly in place.
I keep the joint tight enough that I can tap the corner of the phone to tweak the angle on the fly. Whether I'm head-down pushing watts, cruising or dealing with harsh sunlight, it's easy to adjust.
Riding in Hot Weather
I don't use a waterproof case unless the weather is truly awful. Phones generate heat when running GPS, and enclosing them can make overheating more likely — especially during Japanese summers.
