Enfitnix Cubelite II – Smart Bicycle Tail Light Review

Enfitnix Cubelite II Smart Bicycle Tail Light

Why I Bought the Enfitnix Cubelite II

I ride long daytime routes around Tokyo, Kanagawa, Enoshima, and Hakone. I never plan to ride at night — but punctures, delays, tunnels, and winter gloom mean it happens anyway.

What I wanted was a rear light I didn’t have to think about. Something that looks after itself and keeps me visible when conditions suddenly change.

Smart Features That Matter

  • Automatic on/off – activates when light levels drop
  • Tunnel detection – incredibly useful in Japan
  • Brake sensing – brightens when slowing down
  • Reflective response – adjusts when car headlights hit it
  • USB rechargeable – no disposable batteries

Real-World Observations

  • Much smaller than expected (approx. 2.5 × 3 cm)
  • Extremely bright for its size — don’t stare at it close up
  • Metal, water-resistant body feels durable and premium
  • One-button operation — no fiddling mid-ride

Mounting Options

It includes two mounting clips:

  • Saddle-rail clip (I don’t use this)
  • Saddle-post clip (worked, but my saddle bag blocked it)

In the end, I clipped it directly to my saddle bag, which works perfectly and keeps it clearly visible.

In the Box

  • Light unit
  • Two mounting clips
  • Rubber bands and fasteners
  • Clear instruction manual

Recommended?

Yes — absolutely.

  • Set-and-forget operation
  • Excellent brightness
  • Great for commuting and long daytime rides
  • Perfect for unpredictable conditions
