Custom Cycling Route Map

Transform an unforgettable ride into stunning layered wood wall art, individually designed around your cycling route. Whether it was an epic mountain climb, cycling holiday, sportive, century ride, bikepacking adventure, charity ride, or simply a favourite route ridden countless times, each map is handcrafted to preserve the story of the ride.

Your map can be created from your own recorded activity or from a published cycling route. A GPX file is useful, but it is not essential.

If you recorded your ride, you can send a GPX file or activity link from Strava, Garmin Connect, Ride with GPS, Komoot, or most other cycling platforms. If you followed a published event or well-known route, simply send me the event or route name and date and I can often source the route for you.

After you order, I will create a digital mock-up of your personalised map and send it to you for approval before I begin making the finished artwork.

You can check the route, personalisation, ride details and overall layout, and request any necessary changes before production begins.

Your Cycling Route

Your cycling route forms the centrepiece of the artwork. The route is created as a distinctive layer, standing out clearly against the surrounding landscape and road network.

An elevation profile can also be incorporated into the design, showing the climbs and descents that helped define your ride. This is particularly effective for mountain routes and challenging events where elevation was an important part of the achievement.

Depending on the location, the engraved map can include contour lines, smaller roads and streets, railway lines, airports, coastlines, lakes, rivers, and other geographic features that give the location its individual character.

Small engraved wooden flag pins can also be used to mark the start, finish, or other important locations along your ride.

You don't need to include every detail. Your map can be kept simple or personalised with additional ride statistics depending on the story you would like it to tell.

Providing Your Route

If you recorded your ride, you can provide:

• A link to your Strava or other cycling activity
• A GPX or other compatible route file
• A screenshot or link showing the route

If your ride followed a published cycling event or well-known route, simply send me the event or route name and date. Where suitable route information is publicly available, I can use this to create your map.
