Japanese Train vs Italian Bike Race – Enoshima 360° Video | Tokyo Cycling
Enoshima Electric Railway vs Bianchi Road Bike.
Chasing the iconic Enoden train from Shichirigahama Beach along the seafront and through Koshigoe High Street — a classic stretch of coastal Kanagawa.
Midway through the ride, my rear derailleur cable snapped just as the train pulled away from the station. That left me stuck in a high gear, desperately trying to keep pace. Chasing a train on what effectively became a fixie was not the plan.
I’ll head to the Bianchi Store in Machida later today to get it fixed. You can watch the full 30-minute ride from Hachimangū Shrine (Kamakura) to Enoshima Station in the main video.
For rail fans and travellers, here’s the official English guide to the Enoshima Electric Railway:

Travel tip:
If possible, sit on the left-hand side of the train when travelling from Kamakura for sea views — although standing near the doors is equally rewarding.
