Cycling Mount Takao & the Doshi Area – Winter Ride
A beautifully clear winter’s day, with snow still lingering on the ground from the previous week. A few riders from Tokyo Cycle Club joined the ride, making for a relaxed but memorable day out in western Tokyo.
We started at Takao Station, rolled past Takao Base to Annai Bridge, then climbed over what I believe was Ōtarumi Pass before descending toward Tsuki Yamayuri. From there, I left the group and turned left across Katsura Bridge, enjoying a gentle climb toward Dōshi Bridge.
Lunch was a simple but perfect winter stop: hot coffee and a chocolate croissant from the convenience store nearby. A short climb followed, then a steep descent down to Zebra Café. There’s a separate video covering the ride from Zebra Café back to Machida.
Insta360 360° camera used for this ride.
