Exploring Tokyo: A Morning Ride with the Half Fast Cycling Club on My Bianchi Infinito
Join me for a morning cycling adventure through Tokyo with the Half Fast Cycling Club, exploring some of the city's scenic streets and cycling routes on my Bianchi Infinito.
It's always enjoyable riding with experienced cyclists who know the city well. Even though I regularly cycle through Tokyo, there's always somewhere new to discover.

Here's the route we followed through Tokyo, including the streets around Roppongi.
Morning Cycling Through Tokyo
One of the best things about riding with the Half Fast Cycling Club is discovering routes I wouldn't necessarily have chosen myself.
Although I frequently cycle through Roppongi, this ride took me beyond my usual roads and introduced me to some new and interesting parts of the city.
Highlights included:
- Exploring scenic streets and cycling routes through Tokyo
- Riding alongside experienced members of the Half Fast Cycling Club
- Discovering unfamiliar roads around Roppongi
- Enjoying a morning ride through Japan's capital
Having knowledgeable cyclists lead the way made the experience particularly enjoyable.
Creating the 3D Cycling Route Video
For this video, I experimented with adding a 3D route map to help viewers follow our progress through Tokyo.
The map was manually exported from Strava and adjusted to match the video timeline using Final Cut.
It isn't perfectly synchronised with the GPS data, but I did my best to align the route with the footage.
Unlike some of my other cycling videos, this one doesn't include biometric information or speed data overlays.
