Fuji Course – Kawana Hotel Golf Course

Celebrate one of Japan's most iconic golf courses with this handcrafted layered paper map of the Fuji Course at Kawana Hotel Golf Course. Designed and made in Japan, each map is created from precision laser-cut card and engraved wood, transforming real geographic data into an elegant piece of golf course wall art.

Originally developed as one of my layered wooden maps, the intricate detail of the Fuji Course deserved an even finer medium. By combining engraved wood with precision-cut archival card, this version captures the course with exceptional accuracy while preserving every fairway, bunker, green, and surrounding landscape.

Seven Precision Layers

Every map is individually assembled from multiple laser-cut layers to create depth, texture, and remarkable detail.

• Layer 1 – Engraved Wood
  Natural wood engraved with the course name, location, course information, and optional personalised message.
• Layer 2 – Roads
  Charcoal card showing major roads, local streets, access roads, and railway lines surrounding the golf course.
• Layer 3 – Course Layout
  Cream card engraved with the playing lines from each tee box along the fairways to every green.
• Layer 4 – Fairways & Forest
  Light green card representing the fairways and surrounding woodland, scored with each hole's playing line.
• Layer 5 – Greens
  Dark green card highlighting every putting green.
• Layer 6 – Bunkers & Buildings
  Yellow card representing bunkers, tee boxes, club buildings, and other course structures.
• Layer 7 – Water
  Blue card depicting the sea, lakes, ponds, streams, and other water features.

Roads, railways, buildings, waterways, and surrounding landscape are created using real geographic mapping data. The level of detail shown varies according to the location of each golf course.

Your completed map is professionally mounted in a black wooden frame, supplied ready to hang with an integrated sawtooth picture hanger.
