英国が誇る救命艇の歴史を、この手作りのフリートウッド救命艇基地地図で称えましょう。この地図は、日本の神奈川でティム氏がデザイン・製作したものです。重ねられた木製のアートワークは、ランカシャーの海岸線を描き、 RNLIフリートウッド基地の位置と、そこで乗組員が守る地域を示しています。
カバーエリア
この地図は、当基地のおおよその運用範囲を示しています。北はフリートウッドからRNLIモアカム基地までの海域の半分、南はフリートウッドからRNLIブラックプール基地までの海域の半分をカバーしています。この地図は、RNLIネットワークが英国沿岸のこの一帯をどのように守っているかを、収集家にとって分かりやすい形で視覚化したものです。
デザインレイヤー
- 水層:濃い青は西側のアイリッシュ海の深海を示し、薄いサーフブルーは沿岸の浅瀬を示します。
- 土地と道路:土地には小道が刻まれており、主要道路には明瞭さと奥行きを加えるために別のグレーのレイヤーが使用されています。
