The Minami-Machida to Enoshima Coastal Loop is one of Kanagawa’s most rewarding cycling routes — blending urban streets, historic towns and sweeping sea views into a single memorable ride.
This map is constructed from multiple precision-cut wooden layers. Roads are cut in relief, waterways form a distinct coastal layer, and the cycling route itself is highlighted to trace the full journey from Minami-Machida through Fujisawa and Kamakura to Enoshima.
The route passes Kamakurakokomae Station, where the Enoden Line train runs beside the ocean — one of Japan’s most recognisable coastal scenes. Elevation data is carved directly into the wood, preserving both the geography and the effort of the ride.
Whether you ride this loop regularly or completed it as a personal milestone, this piece transforms distance and elevation into a lasting keepsake — crafted and assembled in Japan.
