Wood: Care
Wood: Care
- Keep away from direct sunlight and prolonged humidity
- Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth
- Avoid water, sprays, or chemical cleaners
- Handle with care to protect the layered wood and frame finish
This handcrafted wooden cycling map captures one of my favourite routes in Kanagawa, looping from Minami-Machida through Fujisawa, Kamakura, and out to Enoshima.
The route passes Kamakurakokomae Station, where fans gather daily to recreate one of anime’s most recognisable scenes, with the Enoden Line train running along the coast. This stretch of road—sea, rail, and sky—was the inspiration for my very first wooden cycling map, making this piece especially meaningful to me.
The ride blends urban roads, coastal views, and historic streets, and has been translated into layered wood to preserve both the geography and the emotion of the journey.
