All custom artwork is made to order.

Because each piece is personalised, custom items are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.

All orders are shipped with tracking and insurance. In the event of damage or loss in transit, we will arrange a replacement after confirming eligibility for an insurance claim.

The Map

Celebrate the Best Buddies Challenge: New York with this handcrafted wooden route map, designed and made in Kanagawa, Japan by Mr. Tim. Each artwork transforms the 100-mile charity ride into precision-cut layered wood art, capturing the journey from New York City into the Hudson Valley and the Ramapo Mountains.

Using the GPX file from your ride, every map reflects the exact path you rode that day — including distance, elevation, and your individual route line.

Each Map Includes

Detailed layered wood recreation of the full 100-mile route using your GPX file (so the route reflects your ride that day)
Blue water layer representing rivers, lakes, and coastline
Natural basswood layer with engraved minor roads and park areas
Grey-toned road layer showing major roads and expressways
The route line in orange for high contrast and clarity
Small islands and features too delicate to cut are engraved for accuracy
Optional engraving of your ride data (name, date, time, distance, elevation gain — metric or imperial)

About the Event

The Best Buddies Challenge: New York is a charity cycling event supporting Best Buddies International and their mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The signature 100-mile route begins in New York City, travels north through the Hudson Valley, and finishes at Glenmere Mansion. Tour de France stage winner Mark Cavendish served as honorary cycling chair.
