Free Insect and Bug Finger Print Craft
Preparation
• Download the free Finger Print Bugs Craft Template.
• Buy some jumbo ink pads.
• x1 Pencil per student.
In Class
Model how to make these and to save you some cleaning up time, model how not to use the ink pads too! For my 5 year olds I made a select of animals that they could copy while they gained the confidence to make their own.
I repeated this craft a week later as my 5 and 6 year old students asked if they could do it again. There was a noticeable jump in quality. I think first time around they were just learning the process and experimenting with what could be done. Second time around they really wanted to do their best and make something good to show their parents.
