Over 25 International Schools and over 20,000 students in Japan take part in the Sakura Medal annual book reading competition. Nominated books must not be more than 2 years old are are chosen by student, staff and librarians. All are recommended reading for children.

If you watch one thing in my blog please make it this. A truly delightful book. I read it on day one with my K3 students and refer back to it when ever there is any behavioral issues that arise in my class.
